Hillary Clinton blasts Matt Lauer in her new memoir over the NBC morning show host's line of questioning in one of the presidential forums last fall, Radar Online reported.
In her new book titled "What Happened" that's set for release next week, the failed Democratic presidential candidate points a finger at Lauer for questioning Clinton about her email scandal instead of foreign policy at the "Commander in Chief Forum" last September, Radar cited from an excerpt.
NBC "was treating this like an episode of 'The Apprentice,' in which (Donald) Trump stars and ratings soar," Radar quoted Clinton's book. "Lauer had turned what should have been a serious discussion into a pointless ambush. What a waste of time. I can't say I didn't fantasize about shaking some sense into Lauer while I was out there."
Adding to the indignity, Clinton wrote, is that Lauer then took it easy on Trump during his portion of the forum, calling it a "soft-pedal interview," Radar reported.
"I was almost physically sick," Clinton wrote.
Mainstream media agreed with Clinton, panning Lauer's performance.
