ISIS Beheads Kurdish Soldier, Threatens US in New Video

Friday, 29 August 2014 02:09 PM EDT

Islamic State has issued a new video threatening the United States with more decapitations of prisoners and hostages while showing a Kurdish soldier being beheaded.

The grainy footage includes an image of President Barack Obama, while calling him "a jerk" in Arabic, as well as a still photo of Secretary of State John Kerry, the Daily Mail reported.

The video was released just hours after the terror group, formerly known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), posted footage of the mass execution of 300 Syrian national army soldiers in the desert.

Accompanied by the hashtag "'2ndAmessagetoAmerica," the new video shows a Kurdish soldier having his head cut off after he was apparently seized by ISIS fighters along with a group of 15 soldiers fighting in northern Iraq, according to the Mail.

Last week, the radical extremists sent out a video threat to the United States titled "A Message to America," which included the decapitation of American journalist James Foley.

In the new "message," ISIS fighters warn that they will continue to decapitate prisoners unless the United States stops supporting the Kurds with bombing raids, as well as arms supplies and military equipment.

With the Great Mosque of the captured city of Mosul seen in the background, the militants then beheaded one of the Kurdish group on a desert road, the Mail reported.

The Islamic State has overrun vast areas of eastern Syrian and northern Iraq in its attempt to create a caliphate in the region, and in recent weeks ISIS forces have been attempting to capture the Kurdish city of Irbil.

In the video, the captives are dressed in orange boiler suits similar to one that Foley was wearing when he was executed 10 days ago. But it was not clear whether the beheading was carried out by the same jihadists. In Foley’s case, the executioner is believed to be a British national, who was once a minor rap star

Speaking in Arabic, one of three masked fighters standing behind the Kurdish victim delivered his message to the United States on the new video.

"In the name of God, peace be upon him," he says. "I have two messages: The first one is for the dog of Roman, the jerk Obama, how did you send your nation and soldiers again to Iraq? Did you forget the thousands of dead Americans who you gave them as a sacrifice for wars. Did you forget thousands of images of corpses, deformed and those people who still suffer? Did the economy of America recover from its crises to get into a new one?"

"By God's will, your intervention and your offense to Muslims will finish you and your America," said the ISIS extremist, while warning the United States that it must also stop supporting Israel.

As he unsheathed a large knife from his belt, the executioner added, "This is the destiny of all the other prisoners if you don’t stop your alliance with the crusaders."

The footage concludes with ISIS fighters parading near Mosul in armored personnel carriers, waving their black flags and brandishing weapons in the air, the Mail reported.
