Rep. Chaffetz: Romney Will Run – and Win – in 2016

By    |   Monday, 07 July 2014 10:54 PM EDT

Mitt Romney, the Republican nominee for president in 2012, has repeatedly said he will not run again in 2016, but Rep. Jason Chaffetz doesn't believe him.

In fact, the Utah Republican not only thinks Romney will run, he thinks he will win.

"I think he actually is going to run for president. He probably doesn't want me to say that," Chaffetz said Monday on MSNBC's "Hardball."

"A hundred times he says he's not, but Mitt Romney has always accomplished what he's set out to do," Chaffetz told host Chris Matthews. "I think he's proven right on a lot of stuff. I happen to be in the camp that thinks he's actually going to run, and I think he will be the next president of the United States."
