Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and billionaire Donald Trump are in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots among Republicans running for president, in the most recent Fox News national poll.

Both candidates are seeing a bump in the polls after officially announcing their candidacies for president for 2016, according to the poll taken June 21-23 of likely Republican primary voters.
  • Bush: 15 percent
  • Trump: 11 percent
  • Dr. Ben Carson: 10 percent
  • Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul: 9 percent
  • Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker: 9 percent
  • Florida Sen. Marco Rubio: 8 percent
  • Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee 6 percent
Bush is up 12 percent from when the poll was taken in early June. Trump's numbers have more than doubled since then, when only 4 percent of voters said they would support the real estate mogul for president.

Bush launched his campaign on June 15, and Trump's campaign began on June 16. Candidates typically receive a bump in the polls after entering the race.

While Trump's numbers may be up among Republican voters, only 29 percent of the same group of voters said that he is a serious candidate, while 64 percent say he's a side show.

When all 1,005 registered voters were asked, 77 percent said Trump is a side show.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, and former New York Gov. George Pataki all had less than 5 percent support.

When matched up against Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, however, Trump fares the worst, with 34 percent of voters favoring him versus 51 percent who said they would vote for Clinton.

Both Bush and Rubio are in a virtual dead heat when matched up with the former secretary of state.
