Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. is denying a report that he sought help from President Donald Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen in a case where someone reportedly claimed to have “personal” photos that were potentially embarrassing to Falwell and his wife.
Falwell made his comments during an interview on “The Todd Starnes Show” on Fox News Radio.
"While we have a long-standing friendship with Michael Cohen, we never engaged or paid Cohen to represent us in any legal or other professional capacity, and Cohen did not ever resolve any legal matter on our behalf," Falwell said. "This report is not accurate."
He maintained “no compromising or embarrassing photos” existed, according to Fox News.
Reuters had reported that in a conversation surreptitiously recorded by comedian Tom Arnold, Cohen claimed to have helped resolve the matter. Cohen claimed someone had come into possession of what he described as racy “personal” photographs of Falwell. The person who reportedly claimed to have the photos, destroyed them after Cohen intervened, according to a Reuters’ source.
