House Republicans are going on the offensive against Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democrat nominee for president, and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
On Wednesday, the House Education and Workforce Committee issued a subpoena to Walz's administration over fraud allegations at a federal food program in Minnesota, Punchbowl News reported.
On Friday, the House Judiciary Committee will hold a field hearing in California called "The Biden-Harris Border Crisis: California Perspectives." The hearing has been in the works for some time, Punchbowl said.
Next week, the House Judiciary will be holding hearings on "The Biden-Harris Border Crisis: Victim Perspectives," while another subcommittee will hold a hearing on noncitizens voting due to the Biden-Harris border crisis, according to Punchbowl.
The House Oversight Committee is probing Walz's connection to China and Harris' role in the border.
In July, New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik sent a letter to Harris expressing concerns about her national security adviser Philip Gordo and "his close ties to a known Iranian agent within the Department of Defense," Punchbowl reported.
The Veteran Affairs Committee will be holding a hearing next week examining VA leadership under the Biden-Harris administration.
"I'm not going to deny that in this season, with a new top of the ticket, that the hearings may be calling out that it was a Biden-Harris administration and a Biden-Harris candidacy until recently," said Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., told Punchbowl.
Mia Ehrenberg, a Harris-Walz campaign spokesman called the Republican probes "pathetic."
"Donald Trump and his extreme MAGA allies in the House are launching pathetic, false attacks on the Vice President and Governor Walz because they cannot win on their own records of taking away Americans' freedoms and putting billionaires and corporations ahead of hard-working families," Ehrenberg told Punchbowl.
