Americans for Prosperity is spending almost $1 million on ads targeting Sen. Mark Udall for his support of Obamacare, adding the lawmaker to a growing list of vulnerable Democrats the Koch-backed group is focusing on going into the 2014 midterm elections.

The $970,000, three-week ad campaign will highlight the Colorado Democrat's support for the Affordable Care Act, and will be broadcast across the state on cable, network, and digital platforms, The Washington Post reported.

"Because of the nature of the vote as it occurred it the Senate, he cast the decisive vote," AFP President Tim Phillips said. "If he had just voted no, this law wouldn't be a reality today for so many Americans."

A poll last week put Udall in a dead heat with Republican rival Rep. Cory Gardner, who only weeks ago announced his challenge to the freshman incumbent.

Udall is the latest of a growing list of Democrats being targeted by the group, backed by billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, for supporting the controversial healthcare law.

On Monday, AFP will also announce its second round of television ads against Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu, with a $700,000 buy, according to the Post.

The group launched anti-Obamacare ads against vulnerable Democrats in November. Aside from Landrieu, the targets include Alaska Sen. Mark Begich, North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan, Florida Reps. Joe Garcia and Patrick Murphy, and Arizona Rep. Ron Barber.

In January, the group also announced a campaign against New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, and in February, the group began running ads against Florida Rep. Alan Grayson.

According to figures reported by The Washington Post in February, Americans for Prosperity has spent more than $27 million on ads against vulnerable Democratic lawmakers around the country for supporting Obamacare.
