Attorney General Jeff Sessions plans to hold a news conference Friday to discuss Justice Department probes into leaks, CBS News reported.
Leaks to the media involving the Manchester terrorist attack are expected to be among those discussed, as are others, according to the report.
Sessions has recently been criticized by President Donald Trump for "tougher on the leaks from the intelligence agencies," but CBS quoted "an official familiar with the matter" as saying the probes into various leaks have "been in the works for some time."
"These leaks cannot be tolerated, and we will make every effort to put an end to it," Sessions said in a statement about the Manchester leaks, which were criticized by British officials. "We have already initiated appropriate steps to address these rampant leaks that undermine our national security."
