Caitlyn Jenner voted for Donald Trump for president, but is disappointed in his administration's lack of action on gay and transgender issues.
Jenner, the former Olympic decathlete and reality TV star known as Bruce Jenner, told Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight" voting for Democrat Hillary Clinton was never an option because, "I am not a one-issue voter. I believe in limited government. I believe in our Constitution."
And, Jenner said, "I would rather convince the Republican Party to do a better job when it comes to LGBT issues than to try to convince the Democrats to lower taxes and lower regulations and let our country thrive, financially and economically."
Still, the Trump administration has not left the transgender activist happy.
"He looked like he would pretty good on LGBT issues, which is important," Jenner said, "because my loyalties don't lie with Donald Trump, they don't lie with the Republican party. My loyalties and what I'm fighting for is my community, the LGBT community, the trans issues that are out there."
Trump "kind of disappointed me in the first 100 days on those issues," Jenner said.
The Trump White House's reversal of Obama administration Title IX guidelines transgender students should be allowed to use bathrooms that match the gender they identify as is one such issue. Jenner famously visited Trump Tower in Manhattan one year ago and took Trump up on his offer to use the women's restroom.
Jenner also expressed concern at Trump's pick for Secretary of the Army, Mark Green, who, as a Tennessee state senator called being transgender a "disease."
"I have to tell Mark Green, I don't have a disease, OK?" Jenner said. "He called about fighting the bathroom issue as, you know, 'The Bible tells me I have to go after evil,' . . . I'm not an evil person."
