Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Thursday that former Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe must appear before the panel following his CBS interview.

McCabe told “60 Minutes” in an interview that after the president fired former FBI Director James Comey, he ordered an obstruction of justice investigation into President Donald Trump and the Justice Department held meetings to discuss invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office. He also said that then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein did think about wearing a wire during meetings with Trump.

Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe last March following a report from the department’s inspector general that said he misled investigators looking into an information leak.

“After Mr. McCabe’s 60 Minutes interview, it is imperative that he, and others, come before the Senate Judiciary Committee to fully explain how and why a FISA warrant was issued against Carter Page and answer questions about what appears to be, now more than ever, bias against President Trump,” Graham said in a statement on Twitter.
Justice denied several of McCabe’s claims as “inaccurate and factually incorrect.”

"The Deputy Attorney General never authorized any recording that Mr. McCabe references," the DOJ said in a statement, according to NBC News. "As the Deputy Attorney General previously has stated, based on his personal dealings with the President, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment, nor was the DAG in a position to consider invoking the 25th Amendment."
