Lindsey Graham Says 'Toxic' Mohammed Bin Salman 'Has To Go'

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. slammed Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman over the disappearance and alleged slaying of journalist James Khashoggi.

Graham’s comments came during an interview on Tuesday’s “Fox & Friends.”

“I've been (Saudi Arabia’s) biggest defender on floor of the United States Senate,” Graham said. “This guy is a wrecking ball. He had this guy murdered in a consulate in Turkey. And to expect me to ignore it… I feel used and abused. I was on the floor every time defending Saudi Arabia because they’re a good ally. There is difference between a country and individual. The MBS (Salman) figure is to me toxic. He can never be a world leader on the world stage.

“The guy has to go. Saudi Arabia if you’re listening: There are a lot of good people you can chose, but MBS has tainted your country and tainted himself.

“It’s up to the president, but I know what I’m going to do…I’m going to sanction them hell out of Saudi Arabia.”

Turkish security officials said Khashoggi, a Saudi dissident journalist, was assassinated in the Saudi consulate on orders from the royal court.
