President Donald Trump's re-election campaign is unveiling a pro-life coalition Friday to help drive pro-life voters to the polls, Fox News reported Thursday.
The "Pro-Life Voices for Trump" coalition will be led by Susan B. Anthony List president Marjorie Dannenfelser the news outlet reported.
"From appointing pro-life judges to defunding Planned Parenthood, President Trump's track record demonstrates he's the most pro-life president in history," Dannenfelser told Fox News.
The unveiling comes as Trump is set to take the stage at Friday's March for Life — the first president in history to do so.
It will be a way for him to reach a large swath of pro-life voters amid his 2020 presidential campaign. The issue is one he holds dear, and it tends to polarize voters against pro-choice Democrat opponents. (As further evidence of his deep interest in the hot-button topic, he even declared this past Wednesday, the anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court abortion case Roe V. Wade, National Sanctity of Human Life Day.)
"We are deeply honored to welcome President Trump to the 47th annual March for Life," March for Life President Jeanne Mancini said earlier this week about Trump's participation, according to LifeNews. "He will be the first president in history to attend, and we are so excited for him to experience in person how passionate our marchers are about life and protecting the unborn."
Fox News reported that many U.S. senators are expected to back the pro-life cause in videos at the March for Life event, including Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa.
The march is expected to draw a crowd of at least 100,000, Fox News reported.
Trump's speech at the gathering will take place as both sides of the abortion debate prepare to pour vast sums of money and resources into the 2020 elections.
