Hillary Clinton tweeted out criticism Wednesday of President Donald Trump for not doing enough to fight back against Russia's continued meddling in American elections.
Clinton included a link to a report in The Washington Post in which National Security Agency head Adm. Mike Rogers told the Senate Armed Services Committee that Russian President Vladimir Putin will bolster his efforts to interfere in the upcoming midterms, as well as future elections, because he "has clearly come to the conclusion that 'there's little price to pay here and therefore I can continue this activity.'"
Rogers also told the congressmen Trump had not authorized him to take any additional measures to prevent the Russian interference.
White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters, however, "nobody is denying him the authority."
She added "We're looking at a number of different ways where we can put pressure" on the Kremlin. This president . . . has been much tougher on Russian than his predecessor."
