Megyn Kelly, the former Fox News anchor, said she is ready to return to TV.
"I've spent enough time staring at the refrigerator, it's time to do some news," she said Thursday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
She was being honored at the event as one of The Hollywood Reporter's "35 Most Powerful People in Media."
Kelly signed with NBC to host two shows, in daytime and on Sunday night. A start date for those shows has not been announced, but it could be this fall, according to Variety.
The event also included Don Lemon, Ariana Huffington, Savannah Guthrie, Charlie Rose, Lester Holt, and Sean Hannity.
Page Six reported that NBC is attempting to set up an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin as Kelly's first NBC interview.
