A spokesperson for first lady Melania Trump is calling for a “boycott” against rapper T.I. after he released a clip in which a woman resembling the first lady strips in the Oval Office.
T.I., whose legal name is Clifford Harris, tweeted the clip on Friday with the caption, “Dear 45, I ain’t Kanye,” in a reference to Kanye West’s recent visit to the White House.
The video shows President Donald Trump getting onto a helicopter, followed by a shot of T.I. standing in the Oval Office behind the president’s desk. A Melania Trump lookalike enters wearing a replica of her well-known green jacket with the phrase, “I Really Don’t Care, Do U?” on the back, which she takes off before dancing, naked, on the desk. It ends with a shot of the president in a golf cart giving a thumbs up to the camera before showing a promo for T.I.’s new album, “Dime Trap.”
"How is this acceptable? #disgusting #boycott T.I.," Trump spokesperson Stephanie Grisham tweeted on Saturday. The first lady retweeted it as well.
The day before T.I. posted the clip, he wrote on Instagram that although he’s “been extremely patient and made it a point to not jump to any premature conclusions” about West’s “antics,” but said that his meeting with Trump was an “embarrassing act of desperation [and] auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power I’ve ever seen.”
