CNN: Michael Cohen Set to Cooperate With Feds

President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen has told his family and friends he’s ready to cooperate with federal investigators probing his financial dealings, including a $130,000 payoff he made to porn star Stormy Daniels on Trump’s behalf, CNN reported on Friday.

A source familiar with the matter told the cable news network Cohen will help the investigation to alleviate the pressure on himself and his family.

The attorney has also expressed his anger with the treatment he has gotten from the president, who has minimized his relationship with Cohen, the source told CNN. As well, Cohen is flummoxed by comments from Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

The treatment has "left him feeling isolated and more open to cooperating,” CNN paraphrased the source as saying.

Asked by reporters Friday if he was worried about Cohen cooperating, Trump said, "I did nothing wrong, nothing wrong."

In April, the FBI raided Cohen’s home, office and hotel room and seized documents and electronic devices.

The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday that Manhattan federal prosecutors are probing whether Cohen, illegally did secret lobbying for deep-pocketed clients.

Citing unnamed sources, the Journal reported prosecutors have contacted companies that hired Cohen as a consultant after Trump became president — including AT&T and drug giant Novartis — and paid a total of about $1.8 million for his knowledge of the Trump administration.
