Navarro: Biden Economy Claims a 'Laugh-out-Loud Moment'

By    |   Thursday, 20 June 2019 11:38 AM EDT

White House National Trade Council Director Peter Navarro said Thursday that he finds former Vice President Joe Biden's move to take credit for the current state of the environment based on policies in place under ex-President Barack Obama a "laugh-out-loud moment."

"I remember during the campaign we talked about cutting taxes, deregulation, unleashing our energy sector and of course leveling the playing field on trade as a way of getting us out of this terrible stagnating 2% growth in the Obama and (George W.) Bush years," Navarro told Fox News' "America's Newsroom." "We've hit over 3%."

Navarro said he's proud of President Donald Trump because he has "created manufacturing jobs, compared to 200,000 jobs lost in the Obama/Biden administration."

The economists from the "inbred group' of Biden, Obama, and former President Bill Clinton said that manufacturing jobs were gone, said Navarro.

"On the campaign trail we used to talk about how everything Obama/Biden did was growth killing," said Navarro. "If you think about it, more regulation kills growth, higher taxes kill growth...and of course these bad trade deals that they did with NAFTA back in the 90s or the South Korea deal was Hillary's deal."
