MTV News is coming under fire – and ridicule – for a video offering New Year's resolutions for "white guys."
Titled "2017 Resolutions for White Guys," the Twitter video features young, mostly nonwhite actors offering their advice.
"First off, try to recognize that America was never great for anyone who wasn't a white guy," the first woman actor suggested.
"Can we all just agree that Black Lives Matter isn't the opposite of all lives matter? Black lives just matter. There's no need to overcomplicate it," another scolds.
"Also, Blue Lives Matter isn't a thing," one man adds.
"Learn what mansplaining is and then stop doing it," suggests another female actor.
"We all love Beyonce and yeah, she's black, so of course she cares about black issues. I'm talking to you, Fox News," a black actor says.
"Feel free to take Kanye West, though. You guys can have him," a woman adds.
"You know what you did, Kanye," the man replies, apparently referring to the rapper's meeting with President-elect Donald Trump.
The video, released late Monday afternoon on Twitter, was by Tuesday night retweeted more than 5,700 times and liked 12,000 times.
But comments were mostly critical – including by former KKK leader David Duke and alt-right alt-right social media personality Mike Cernovich.
Other critics piled on, including former United Kingdom Independent Party leader Nigel Farage's media aide Michael Heaver.
And on the "O'Reilly Factor" Tuesday night, Greg Gutfeld and Bernard McGuirk mocked the video.
"I love this," Gutfeld said. "I'm convinced that Donald Trump actually created this to help lay the groundwork for 2020, because anybody who sees this will just vote for Donald Trump.
"I mean, they just created a new identity that transcends race and gender. It's called losers. But I will say, this is good for MTV to hire homely people because homely people need work, too."
