21st Century Fox has hired the New York law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison to look into the allegations of sexual harassment against Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, New York Magazine's Gabriel Sherman reports via Twitter.
Fox announced it would conduct an internal investigation after former Fox News Channel host Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual harassment suit against Ailes last week, alleging Ailes asked her to have a sexual relationship with him after she complained she was being treated with disrespect by her "Fox & Friends" co-host Steve Doocy.
Ailes says the allegations are untrue and stem from Carlson not having her contract renewed last month. Several female Fox hosts, including Greta Van Susteren and Kimberly Guilfoyle, have come to Ailes' defense.
Politico notes that Paul, Weiss, one of the largest corporate law firms in the country, has a division dedicated to media and entertainment and also has a background dealing with high-profile cases, including last year's "Deflategate" NFL controversy.
