Broadcast journalist Emerald Robinson has joined Newsmax TV as its new White House correspondent. Robinson joins Newsmax's John Gizzi, a veteran journalist who serves as the digital company's chief White House correspondent, at the White House.
"Newsmax TV has become a major force in Washington's media universe and I'm thrilled to be a part of its major expansion," Robinson said. "Americans trust Newsmax to deliver truthful, unbiased reporting — and that's what we do every day."
Prior to joining Newsmax, Robinson was chief White House correspondent for One America News Network (OANN). Previously, she spearheaded media relations for the Institute for Global Economic Growth (IGEG).
"Emerald has established herself as a leading White House correspondent with significant access. She's an excellent addition to our roster of top, seasoned journalists at Newsmax TV," Elliot Jacobson, Chief Content Officer and EVP Programming, said.
A graduate of the University of Virginia, Robinson began her journalism career as host of "The Daily Orbit," a syndicated science and technology news show. Her experience also includes entertainment, political, and economic beats.
During her tenure on the White House beat, Robinson has covered presidential foreign trips, including the Helsinki and Singapore summits. In addition, she has traveled with other administration officials, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on diplomatic overseas trips and NATO meetings.
She joins Newsmax TV as the network reaches over 70 million cable and satellite homes and has become America's fastest-growing cable news channel.
