Ripping the version of British Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit as the "worst deal in history," one of the original Brexit architects says she has signed Britain up for "purgatory."
"This looks like the worst deal in history for me," Nigel Farage told Fox News' "America's Newsroom."
". . . The worst bit is we will only be allowed to leave the EU's customs union if they agree to it as well. It's rather like me saying, 'I am going voluntarily put myself in prison. When I want to leave, you will let me go, won't you?'
"It's literally, we've signed up for purgatory. It's madness."
Farage added what May's version of Brexit "signed us up for is indefinitely being rule-takers from the European Union" and it gives England "less sovereignty" than it had before.
"I very much hope the British Parliament votes it down," Farage told Fox News host Bill Hemmer.
Farage said the deal gives up too much money, traps Britain into something it cannot leave unless the other side agrees, could go on for years, and worse of all:
"It's not honoring the vote. We had a referendum in this country," he said.
"Mrs. May is trying to please both sides. It's half in, half out, never-never land."
