President Barack Obama gave President-elect Donald Trump some advice on Thursday about speaking to reporters.

"This is a good rule: Don't answer any questions when they start yelling at you," he said, according to Business Insider. Reporters were allowed in the Oval Office to ask questions after the pair met for over an hour.

It was the first time Trump had met Obama. Both have had issues with press coverage.

According to the Insider, Trump has not held a press conference in months, and Obama drew anger in the press when his administration cracked down on leaks to the media.

The president-elect was set to meet House Speaker Paul Ryan for lunch after the Obama meeting.
