Obamacare architect and MIT professor Jonathan Gruber "took our money, then lied to us" about Obamacare, and now won't tell Congress how much he was paid for his work relating to the healthcare law, Rep. Jim Jordan told Fox News' "America's Newsroom."
"And, then, when Obamacare became law, he made fun of us and bragged about it. And, he doesn't even have the decency to tell us how much we paid him," the Ohio Republican said Wednesday.

Jordan said when Gruber originally testified before Congress on healthcare policy issues in 2009 prior to Obamacare's passage, he "
failed to disclose he was being paid by the White House."
"You come in front of Congress talking about the wonderful thing about Obamacare, and say all these great things about it, and don't disclose that you're being paid by the Obama administration? That's the highest form of deception," Jordan said.
Gruber returned to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee about his involvement in Obamacare.
Jordan asked him how much money the government paid him for his work on the healthcare law, but Gruber couldn't provide an exact amount and referred lawmakers to his attorney.
Jordan said the committee might decide to bring him back for further testimony.
"Why not just tell the amount? Everyone knows what you did. Everyone knows you said crazy things. Why not just give us the amount?" Jordan said.
Gruber's testimony on Tuesday also focused on transparency issues about how the healthcare law was presented during its development, and he was questioned about comments he made in videos where he said the law's passage relied on the "stupidity of the American voter."
Jordan said "in a strange way" he appreciated Gruber's candid comments because he was "the first one to, sort of, tell us the truth," adding he had helped lawmakers see "all the deception, all the misleading statements that were made to get this law to be passed."
When asked about the extent of Gruber's involvement in the healthcare law, President Barack Obama has downplayed his role, referring to him only as "some adviser."
Jordan said Gruber visited the White House "21 times," which included a meeting with Obama in the Oval Office.
"When the videos come forward, the president throws him under the bus and says, 'Oh, he was just some adviser,'" Jordan said. "If he's not the architect, I don't know who is."
