Monday, 26 March 2018 03:42 PM EDT

Britain's anti-doping agency says it was targeted in a cyber-attack that did not comprise any data.

While disclosing a weekend attack that was "affecting our systems," UK Anti-Doping said "no core activity, including our testing program, has been impacted."

UKAD added it was "satisfied that we have appropriate levels of cyber security in place."

The agency did not speculate on the source of the hacking attempt.

The Russian-linked Fancy Bears group has previously obtained athlete information from the sports bodies including the World Anti-Doping Agency.
