Omarosa Manigault-Newman, the former "Apprentice" star who eventually was fired as an official in President Donald Trump's White House, claimed Thursday the president keeps a "crazy list" of "shocking proposals" that he uses to create diversions.
"Let me just tell you, they have these lists of very shocking proposals," Manigault-Newman told MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "Whenever they needed to throw a hand grenade to blow up the press or take over the front covers of the newspaper, they would pull out one of these very shocking proposals."
She called the president's resistance to respond to subpoenas from the House of Representatives a "classic Trump" move to hide information about himself from the public.
Many of the proposals on the special list dealt with things like trying to eradicate former President Barack Obama's signature legislative accomplishments, Manigault-Newman claimed.
One of the plans on the list included the policy to separate children from their families at the border, claimed Manigault-Newman, and "we never imagined they would do them."
"But that was one of the shocking proposals that was on this crazy list," she said.
Manigault-Newman also alleged that there is still an "endless amount of scandalous, unethical, illegal behavior" even after special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation ended, and added that the White House kept records of her emails but she wasn't allowed to give Mueller copies.
"[Trump] wants the American people to believe that he was transparent," said Manigault-Newman. "That's just not true."
