Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has reached an $11 million bail deal that would lift the house arrest he has been under for the past four weeks, reports say.

In court filings released Thursday, Manafort's lawyers revealed "an agreed-upon bail package" with attorneys from special counsel Robert Mueller's office, which indicted Manafort and business partner Rick Gates on charges of money laundering and failing to register as foreign agents, Politico reported.

The deal involves a promise from Manafort to give up $11.65 million worth of real estate – including homes in Bridgehampton, N.Y., and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – if he violates the conditions of his release, USA Today reported.

The agreement, which still needs a judge's approval, would also allow Manafort to shed a GPS tracking device, USA Today reported.

"This amount is a substantial portion of the defendant's assets accumulated over a lifetime of work," wrote his lawyers, Kevin Downing and Thomas Zehnle, USA Today reported.

Under the proposal, Manafort would be able to travel in Virginia, New York, Florida, and Washington, D.C.; other domestic destinations would need the court's approval, Politico reported.

Gates is also under house arrest in Richmond, Va; prosecutors proposed a $5 million bond in his case, Politico reported.
