Rep. Paul Ryan ran for president in 2012, eventually serving as Mitt Romney's vice presidential nominee. But he swears another run for the nation's highest office isn't constantly in the back of his mind.
In an interview aired Sunday on CBS's "Sunday Morning," the Wisconsin Republican was challenged by journalist Richard Schlesinger when he said he had yet to make a decision on the 2016 race.
"Here's the way my mind works: I don't roll out of bed every morning thinking, 'Gosh, what can I do to become president?' I don't think like that," Ryan said.
Ryan's wife, Janna, was equally noncommittal, telling Schlesinger she's not sure if she's ready to go through the campaign rigors again.
But, she added, "My kids are ready to do it again."
