The arrests of four young men in London suspected of plotting a terrorist attack in England shows that the country believes the Islamic State (ISIS) is planning action on British soil, says Rep. Peter King of New York.
"Britain does have a much higher number of their citizens going to Syria to fight. So they have more of a threat than we do,"
King told CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer" on Tuesday.
America's threat is serious, the New York Republican said, but Great Britain's seems more imminent.
"And the fact that they're moving the way where they're making almost of a roundup of arrests shows that they are fearing an ISIS attack right in England itself," he said.
The U.K. arrests came after
10 other men were arrested Sept. 25 in that country on suspicion of supporting a banned terrorist organization. One of those arrested then was radical London imam Anjem Choudary, who had taunted Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity on air that sharia law is coming to America.
