There is a startling generational divide over Donald Trump's lewd comments about manhandling women — with young people being the most offended by the Republican presidential candidate's remarks, a new poll reveals.
The Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows that among men, 43 percent of those under 50 years old found Trump's comments completely unacceptable.
But just 30 percent of those over 50 felt that way, according to the survey, conducted after The Washington Post bared an explosive tape in which Trump is heard talking about grabbing women's private parts.
Young women were also "more likely" to find the comments reprehensible, but the age division compared to their male counterparts divide by age wasn't nearly as pronounced, according to The Journal.
Trump has dismissed the remarks, which he made to TV's Billy Bush in 2005, as "locker-room banter."
