Florida's Broward County met its recount deadline Thursday, submitting election results to the Florida secretary of state a few minutes before the 3 p.m. ET cutoff – but it reportedly marked no real change in the Senate race that has GOP Gov. Rick Scott ahead of incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla.

Fox News' Peter Doocy told "Your World With Neil Cavuto" that Scott lost 606 votes but Nelson lost more than 1,300 in the heavily Democratic county.

According to the Naples Daily News, the results released Saturday in the Senate race showed Nelson with 471,334 votes in Broward, compared to Scott's 211,119. After the recount, with both candidates losing votes, Nelson had 469,949 votes and Scott had 210,513 votes.

Both counts gave Nelson about 69 percent of the vote, marking no real change for Nelson, who hopes to overcome Scott's statewide lead of about 12,500 votes.

Because the margins in the race were under 0.5 percent, three races were machine recounted: the gubernatorial race between Democrat Andrew Gillum and Republican Ron Desantis; Sen. Nelson's and Gov. Scott's Senate race; and the commissioner of agriculture race between Democrat Nikki Fried and Republican Matt Caldwell, the Miami Herald noted.

If the recount results show any of the races fall below a .25 percent margin, a state-mandated manual recount will take place. The secretary of state has yet to announce the start of the manual recount, the Herald reported.
