The recently released undercover videos of Planned Parenthood officials admitting to taking pay for fetal tissue from aborted fetuses could be the wakeup call to abortion opponents, Richard Land, president of Southern Evangelical Seminary, told
Newsmax TV.
"This may be the equivalent of 'Uncle Tom's Cabin,'" Land told "Newsmax Prime" hosts J.D. Hayworth and Miranda Khan. "When Harriet Beecher Stowe wrote that book she put a human face on slavery."

When President Abrahama Lincoln met her after the war had started, he said, "Well, I'm finally glad to meet the woman who wrote the book that started the war," Land said.
The American people may now be forced to confront the evil, barbarity and savagery of the pro-abortion movement, he said. "Adding salt to the wound is that they're taking $500 million of your tax money and my tax money to subsidize their nefarious activities."
The Center for Medical Progress
released its first video last week, then released
a second video on Tuesday. Selling fetal tissue for profit is against the law, though clinics are allowed to charge research firms enough to compensate for transportation costs.
The videos have raised questions as to whether clinics might be making profit on the aborted fetuses. They also show callous language that even abortion supporters have condemned.
Land said he thinks the videos could give Congress an impetus to defund Planned Parenthood and force President Barack Obama to either veto the action or allow it to become law.
"You realize these two women are not just senior executives with Planned Parenthood, they are medical doctors," he said. "These are people who have taken the Hippocratic Oath, and they are discussing the dismembering of human babies."
