Friday, 06 September 2024 07:39 AM EDT

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, asked if President Vladimir Putin's stated support for U.S. presidential candidate Kamala Harris was serious or a joke, said people would have to figure it out for themselves.

Putin said on Thursday that Russia wants Harris to win the November election, in a teasing comment that cited her "infectious" laugh as a reason to prefer her over Donald Trump.
