Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin responded online to CNN's Piers Morgan's attempts to have her as a guest on his show with a photo of her with a bear she had just killed.
Palin posted the photo on her
Facebook page recently with the message, "Piers: Kind of busy right now" scrawled across the bottom. Palin is holding up the bear's head with her hands and a gun is laid across the animal's hind legs.

The full message posted with the photo reads, "Oh dear Piers, thank you so much for all your invitations to appear on your shambolic show, including the adoring message you sent. But is it still any wonder why I've politely responded that I'm too busy doing, um, er... pretty much anything to accept the invite? (At least I didn't tell you to "get stuffed".) And to all our British friends: we ask, what did your friends across the pond ever do to you to deserve your Piers?"
A smiley face icon follows the message.
Palin is a paid contributor for CNN's rival news channel Fox News, and likely wouldn't appear on Morgan's program for that reason. She made the Facebook post a day after Morgan taunted her in a tweet for supposedly saying Jesus celebrated Easter.
The false story originated on
The Daily Currant, a satirical news website that includes articles headlined, "Nancy Grace Arrested for Murder," and "NASA Says Washington D.C. Once Hosted Intelligent Life."
Palin's post received more than 56,000 "likes" on Facebook, but the left-leaning
Huffington Post called it "Horrifying."
The HuffPo posted a screenshot of the picture and message with the simple comment, "OMG."
Twitter users informed Morgan that the site was satirical, and he claimed to know that it was in one response, while admitting he fell for it in another.
