Anthony Scaramucci amped up the rhetoric Wednesday against President Donald Trump, responding to former White House press secretary Sean Spicer's claim Scaramucci did not have what it takes to serve the administration.

"It's about demagoguery for me," Scaramucci told CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront," saying he could not be the "sycophant" Spicer was for the president.

"A demagogue needs blind obligatory loyalty," he continued. "They need a blind obligation.

"[Trump] is a proven demagogue and he's obviously gone off the rails now."

Scaramucci repeated his call for the Republican Party "to get him out of there," predicting Trump "will not be the nominee" for the GOP in 2020.

Scaramucci, fired White House communications director after just 11 days in 2017, also attacked Spicer for being complicit in lying for the administration.

"He's 100% right that I didn't have what it takes to do the job, because if you have to conform yourself and be an Auntie Anne pretzel and tell somebody that something is true when it's not true, then I don't have what it takes to do the job," Scaramucci said.

"But Liar Spice is saying something different. He's a sycophant for the president, and he's one of the president's acolytes, because he's got nothing better to do with his life."

Spicer, the former White House press secretary, earlier Wednesday argued Scaramucci was being used by the left and the media, and he was not prepared for his gig.

"I have not and never will be scared of him. I do know that obviously it was a very rocky tenure," Spicer said. "He didn't have what it takes to do the job."

"It's catnip for the left-wing media to go out and use somebody like him to create a controversy," Spicer said. "I just wish he had moved on and continued to support the president in a much more respectable way than he is right now."

Scaramucci and President Donald Trump have been attacking each other on social media since last week when Scaramucci slammed him for his racist and unacceptable tweets directed at four Democratic minority congresswomen.
