Sean Spicer: Republicans Have 'Greater' Chance of Keeping House

(Fox News/"Fox & Friends")

Republicans have a "greater and greater chance" of keeping control of the House of Representatives, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer predicted Monday.

I think we have greater and greater chance of keeping the House," Spicer told Fox News' "Fox and Friends," adding that it is also time to put more Republicans in the Senate to "help President (Donald) Trump change America. I think we'll have a hell of a night."

The chances of keeping the House may be "slim," Spicer conceded, but he said he feels "good about it."

However, Republicans may only be left with a "narrow" majority of between one and three House seats, Spicer said, adding that he thinks Republicans can keep control of the Senate and possibly pick up a few more seats.

"I feel really good about the Senate," Spicer said. "I think we can be as high as 56 seats, 55, 56 seats on election night."

Spicer also pointed out that there are several races that were expected to be easy wins for Democrats, but those are starting to narrow to "slim single-digit races.

Further he said, many people have already cast their ballots early, and "Republican enthusiasm continues to get jacked up," Spicer said.
