Half a dozen members of the U.S. Secret Service are expected to endure disciplinary action after a man breached security around the White House before he was arrested outside President Donald Trump's bedroom windows, CNN reports.

On March 10, 26-year-old Jonathan Tran bypassed several fences and gates and eluded security of over 16 minutes while Trump was in the White House. Both uniformed officers and special agents will face discipline, according to CNN's source, though the source also said none are on administrative leave.

The Secret Service admitted that "lapses in security protocols" allowed Tran to enter the White House grounds, but the agency vowed to take immediate measures to close these holes with additional officers at guard posts, improved technology and a greater response to intruders.

"The men and women of the Secret Service are extremely disappointed and angry in how the events of March 10 transpired," the agency said in a statement last week. The Secret Service did not respond to CNN's request for comment on staff being disciplined.

On Tuesday night, a woman attempted to jump the fence in the southwest corner of the White House, but her shoelaces "became entangled in security features affixed to the top of the fence, suspending them in the air on the inside of the fence," a Secret Service official told NBC News.

On Saturday night, a 29-year-old man was arrested after driving to a White House checkpoint and claiming to have "a bomb in the trunk" and told police that "this is a test" as he was being arrested, according to NBC News.
