The planet Pluto might have alien life based on a new scientific analysis.
The New Horizons spacecraft collected data during a flyby of the faraway planet and concluded it is possible there could be some type of organic material on it, according to ScienceDirect.com.
According to Space.com, there are several layers of complex haze above Pluto that might hold the keys to whether there is life on the planet.
"The connection with astrobiology is immediate — it's right there in front of your face," New Horizons planetary scientist Michael Summers told the website. "You see organic materials, water, and energy."
Scientists also discovered water ice mountains on Pluto, which further their belief the planet might harbor some sort of life. Astronomers also think there might be a subsurface ocean on Pluto, along with radioactivity at its core.
"These are the things you need for life: organics, raw material, and energy," Summers told Space.com.
