Plane Diverted, Passengers Evacuated After Report of Suspicious Package

An Austin-bound Southwest Airlines jet was evacuated Monday evening after the pilot was told of a security concern, reports Fox.

Flight 2675 was diverted to Phoenix after departing from Los Angeles. The plane was landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport after there were reports of a suspicious package on board. All 143 passengers were evacuated.

The plane is currently in a remote part of the airport away from the main terminal, according to a statement from the airport.

Details about the package were not immediately available.

All other flights are continuing as scheduled.
