Voters' approval of special counsel Robert Mueller has jumped 11 points since July, a new poll showed.
The Fox News survey, released Wednesday, found Mueller's approval rating among registered voters stands at 59 percent; it was 48 percent in July and 55 percent in June.
Disapproval of the Mueller probe of the Trump campaign and Russia was 37 percent, compared with 40 percent in July and 37 percent in June, the poll showed.
The survey found 40 percent expect the investigation will find President Donald Trump committed criminal or impeachable offenses, up 5 points from July.
The poll was conducted from Sunday through Tuesday, but it is unclear whether some respondents were surveyed after the double-whammy legal news broke that ex-campaign chairman Paul Manafort was convicted of tax and bank fraud and former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations and other charges.
Trump has repeatedly attacked the Mueller probe as a "witch hunt."
The poll's margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
