Some 3,000 previously unreleased emails from Hillary Clinton's private server will be released before the presidential election, Politico reports.
But any damage to Clinton could be minimal as many may be released so close to the election they will be "caught up in the last-minute frenzy of coverage and back-to-back political events," the political news website says.
The latest email release is part of the settlement from a case brought by Vice News reporter Jason Leopold, who had filed a Freedom of Information Act request for them.
The emails were recovered by the FBI during its probe into Clinton's use of a private email server during her term as secretary of state.
