President Donald Trump sent out two tweets Monday morning attacking special counsel Robert Mueller and his investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 elections on his first day back at work at the White House following his Thanksgiving vacation in Florida.
"When Mueller does his final report, will he be covering all of his conflicts of interest in a preamble, will he be recommending action on all of the crimes of many kinds from those 'on the other side' (whatever happened to Podesta?), and will he be putting in statements from. . .
"Hundreds of people closely involved with my campaign who never met, saw or spoke to a Russian during this period?" Trump wrote. "So many campaign workers, people inside from the beginning, ask me why they have not been called (they want to be). There was NO Collusion & Mueller knows it!"
The president tweets come as Mueller is expected to finish his probe shortly, now that Trump’s written responses have been submitted, according to the Daily Mail.
Attorney Alan Dershowitz said over the weekend that the Mueller report will probably be “politically devastating” for Trump, even though he does not expect it will include a criminal referral against the president.
