The first promos for Donald Trump’s upcoming appearance on “Saturday Night Live” are out.
And already they're causing controversy. Late Wednesday, the show's producers said they had mistakenly posted a video of Trump calling rival Ben Carson a "loser." The video was not meant to be made public but was included in the initial batch of promos included below.
The show dropped a series of promos Wednesday to tout its GOP presidential candidate-hosted Nov. 7 episode.
In one spot, popular cast member Cecily Strong declares, “Due to FCC regulations, Trump can only appear in this promo for less than four seconds. Isn’t that right?”
“That’s correct, Cecily. I’ll be hosting ‘Saturday Night Li—,” Trump says to the camera before Strong, equipped with a stopwatch, yells, “Time!”
But in another, Trump uses the few moments to take a shot at a fellow Republican White House hopeful, telling the camera, “So let me just say this: Ben Carson is a complete and total loser!” He's citing federal "equal time" rules.
Trump also wears some shades in another promo.
“I wish there were some real men around here, you know?” Strong says to castmate Sasheer Zamata.
As seductive music plays, Trump saunters into the camera’s view wearing sunglasses and says, “Hi, ladies.”
