Gen. Vallely: White House in 'Collusion' With Other Agencies on Benghazi

By    |   Wednesday, 08 May 2013 06:23 PM EDT

The White House is guilty of employing "Chicago-style tactics'' to quash the true story behind the deadly attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, retired U.S. Army Major Gen. Paul Vallely says.

"The Obama administration uses heavy-handed Chicago-style tactics to put the lid on people and they threaten them,'' Vallely told "The Steve Malzberg Show'' on Newsmax TV.

Story continues below.

"They threaten them with their jobs. And that's exactly what been happening.''

Vallely, who served as Deputy Commanding General in the Pacific, commended the three "whistleblowers'' who testified Wednesday in the Congressional hearings on Benghazi.

But he urged House members conducting the probe to press even harder.

"This hearing has got to even be stronger in getting out the facts and these three people have been very brave to put themselves out there,'' he said.

"But believe me, there's more in the background that hasn't even been brought forth.''

Vallely charged the White House with being in "collusion'' with other top agencies in allegedly covering up the mistakes that led to a lack of security and intelligence that allowed the attack to take place.

U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans lost their lives in the violence.

"This is an entire conspiracy that goes all the way to the White House, down through State Department, into the CIA, into the Department of Defense,'' Vallely said.

"They're all in collusion together in order to cover this up, what really happened.''

Vallely, who spent 32 years in the Army and is founder of the Stand Up America US Project, said he remains stunned that no apparent rescue mission was launched when the Sept. 11th, 2012 assault began.

"From the standpoint of the rescue — not even attempting a rescue when we did have forces in the area,'' he said.

"To me, we're bordering on complete dysfunctional organizations that support our people overseas, whether in the Defense Department or the State Department.''
