Former Mexican president Vicente Fox called Donald Trump "a crazy guy" in a new interview and urged Mexico to stand against the Republican presidential nominee.
"You cannot work with a crazy guy," Fox told Vice News.
Fox has been an outspoken opponent of Trump in recent months, and he is firmly opposed to Trump's promise to build a border wall between the United States and Mexico that would be paid for by the Mexican government.
"We should be letting our voice be heard and demand respect to Mexico," Fox said. "Mexicans need to start debating those crazy ideas that he is after, using figures that do not correspond to truth."
This week, Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto said he is willing to meet with Trump after comparing him to Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini in March in response to his border wall pledge.
Fox blasted Trump in May, saying he was "not going to pay for the [expletive] wall."
