WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says his document-leaking group will unveil more material hacked from Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in the coming weeks.

Assange said the new batch contains "significant material," but added he doesn't know if it will cause a political earthquake like the previous batch, the Washington Examiner reports.

Last month, leaked emails revealed the Democratic National Committee's intentions to topple Sen. Bernie Sanders' bid for the presidential nomination, resulting in the resignation of DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Assange says Wikileaks will publish the new material "in batches" over the coming weeks.

He refused to say if Russia was behind the original hack. Many believe Russian President Vladimir Putin is attempting to tilt the election in favor of Donald Trump, but Assange insisted:

"We have authentic information. The goal of WikiLeaks . . .  is to educate the public. To turn a dark world into a lighter world."
