President Donald Trump might have endorsed the losing candidate in Alabama's Senate runoff, but "Trump has changed the political landscape in America — and that means in the Republican Party as well," best-selling author David Horowitz told Newsmax TV on Wednesday.
"This is going to take years to see what the ultimate effect is," Horowitz, founder of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, told "Newsmax Now" host Bill Tucker in an interview.
He is the author of The New York Times best-seller, "Big Agenda: President Trump's Plan to Save America."
"We have a populist revolt now," Horowitz told Tucker. "A lot more senators are going down, senatorial candidates.
"I would be very surprised if Jeff Flake [of Arizona] survives the next election or [Dean] Heller from Nevada.
"I would be surprised if others go down, too," he said.
"We're watching — I hate to use the word 'revolution' because all the worst things that have happened in our century happened because of revolutionaries — but this is a profound political transformative moment."
