The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania overstepped its constitutional authority and disregarded the laws passed by the state legislature, says Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, backer of a GOP lawsuit challenging the extension of counting mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania.
"We want to support the legal vote and uphold the integrity of this election," Rutledge told Newsmax TV's "The Chris Salcedo Show." "Americans deserve to have a transparent process.
"The only thing transparent is that the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania is going to do what it wants, whenever it wants, and that is not right by the voters of Pennsylvania, and it's not right by the voters of America."
President Donald Trump has refused to concede the 2020 presidential election to Democrat challenger Joe Biden, citing voter fraud. Several news outlets, including Fox News, have called the race for the former vice president.
Newsmax has not called the race, citing close margins in a number of battleground states, legal challenges, and pending recounts.
The U.S. Supreme Court in October ruled Pennsylvania could count mail-in ballots received up to three days after the Nov. 3 election, rejecting a Republican plea in the presidential battleground state.
