Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did his best not to make political hay with his meetings Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton this week, renowned civil-rights lawyer and Middle East scholar Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax TV.
"I think that Benjamin Netanyahu was trying to be as balanced, as fair and didn't want to in any way take sides," Dershowitz, a Harvard Law professor emeritus, said Wednesday to J.D Hayworth on "America Talks Live."
"He met with both of them. He expressed the interest of the United States and enforcing the Iran deal to the hilt."

Dershowitz, who dined with Netanyahu and his wife Sara during their visit to New York, said Netanyahu's quest for peace was one of his top priorities.
"Explain why it would be a terrible thing for the UN to pass a resolution encouraging the Palestinians not to negotiate?" Dershowitz asked.
"As he said at the UN, the road to peace is through Ramallah or Jerusalem and not through New York and certainly not through the United Nations."
Dershowitz is author of "Electile Dysfunction: A Guide for Unaroused Voters," published by Rosettabooks.
