Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Calif., says Joe Biden’s selection of Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate is proof that the radical left is in charge of the Democratic Party.
McClintock also slammed Harris’ reputation as a tough prosecutor during her tenure as district attorney of San Francisco.
“There’s no question he’ll be a mere figure head, an American von Hindenburg” McClintock said during an appearance on Newsmax TV’s “Greg Kelly Reports” in comparing Biden to the late Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg, president of Germany from 1925 until 1934.
“The real decisions will be made by the radical left, and Kamala Harris will be one of them.”
Von Hindenburg, a moderate, appointed Adolf Hitler as Chancellor of Germany in 1933.
McClintock also said Harris’ reputation as a tough prosecutor doesn’t have merit.
“Maybe the fact that she went after 1,500 marijuana smokers, and I suppose you can say she’s a tough prosecutor when her office was repeatedly cited by courts for not turning over exculpatory evidence to defense attorneys or making false statements in court.
“Clearly she has no patience for people’s due process rights. I wouldn’t call that a tough prosecutor. I’d call that a corrupt prosecutor.”
