Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., says White House press secretary Jen Psaki displayed ignorance and arrogance when she responded to a Space Force question during a Tuesday press briefing with, “Wow. Space Force. It’s the plane of today.”
Psaki was responding to a reporter’s question on whether President Joe Biden would keep the scope of the Space Force during his administration, seemingly mocking the question and appearing to compare it to one posed by a reporter two weeks ago asking about Air Force One’s color scheme.
"It is an interesting question," she said after the reporter pushed back. "I am happy to check with our Space Force point of contact. I’m not sure who that is. I will find out and see if we have any update on that."
Biggs said Psaki’s response was “sophomoric” and that the Space Force is an important U.S. endeavor and a “new frontier of military competition.
“And when I say competition, I mean adversarial competition,” he said Wednesday during an appearance on Newsmax TV’s “John Bachman Now.”
“So you’ve got China, you have Russia, don’t forget you have some additional adversaries that may not even be state-sponsored that would love to get into that field. It sounds to me sophomoric the way she responded and that really shows, in my opinion, the entire Biden administration’s attitude toward our military personnel and it’s reflected in the fact that we brought 25,000 National Guards troops for the inauguration and we still haven’t sent all of them home.”
